ACCESS Family Care Recruitment Area Description Any way you look at it, working at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is the place to be if your heart is to serve patients and not have to be concerned with managing administrative problems. ACCESS Family Care (ACCESS) has a full administrative team that manages the operations of the organization so that providers can do what they want—serve patients and still receive competitive salaries and benefits. If you, as a medical or dental provider, have a heart to serve a large variety of patients, including the underprivileged, then you must consider opportunities with ACCESS. Since we are an FQHC, we receive a 330 grant from the Bureau of Primary Care that enables us to provide sliding fee discounts to those who demonstrate economic disadvantage. As an FQHC, we also receive great Medicaid reimbursement. ACCESS Family Care is a community health center operating three medical clinics and two dental clinics serving the people of the southwest region of Missouri. ACCESS Family Care is committed to improving the health of the medically underserved of greater southwest Missouri through direct services and collaborative efforts. That is our mission; consider joining us to help fulfill that mission. Southwest Missouri is a great place to live with lots to see and do. http://www.visitmo.com/missouri-maps has the following description of Missouri: America 's live-entertainment capital, crystal-blue lakes surrounded by forested hills, and attractions based on colorful native lifestyles represent just a fraction of what awaits travelers in Missouri’s Southwest Region. Near the region's center is Branson, offering nonstop family fun highlighted by more than 100 music and variety shows. A wide variety of musical styles offers something for all tastes, including country, jazz, bluegrass, gospel, classical and many more. You’ll also find first-rate entertainment featuring magic, comedy, acrobatics and stunning special effects. Nearby Silver Dollar City will transport you back to the turn of the century. Here you'll see artisans demonstrate candle making, glass blowing, blacksmithing and many other trades that were a way of life for an 1890s Ozarks town. Thrilling rides and music shows, 60 specialty shops and Marvel Cave tours keep visitors returning year after year. Other Branson highlights include a six-story IMAX Theatre, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, Celebration City, Hollywood Wax Museum and lake cruises on the Showboat Branson Belle. On Branson's doorstep is Lake Taneycomo, where cold waters support an excellent trout fishery. Also close by is sprawling Table Rock Lake. Its 43,100 acres are a delight for anglers, boaters, scuba divers and other water sports enthusiasts. Equally impressive is Bull Shoals Lake, an hour east of Branson. And the upper end of Norfork Lake provides the region with yet another sparkling jewel. When you visit Springfield, the state's third-largest city, plan stops at the history and art galleries, General Sweeny's Museum and Dickerson Park Zoo. The American National Fish and Wildlife Museum and Aquarium – Wonders of Wildlife features 160 live species of animals from otters to ducks and bobcats to sharks. Springfield also offers fantastic shopping opportunities, including one of Missouri's most popular attractions, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. Just outside Springfield, take a "wild ride" through Exotic Animal Paradise, relive Civil War history at Wilson's Creek Battlefield National Park or explore underground at Fantastic Caverns, North America's only ride-through cave. In Mansfield, tour the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum and Home, where the Little House books were written. The museum contains artifacts, family photographs, Wilder’s handwritten manuscripts and other family items. On the west side of the region, visit Joplin, a booming mining town in the late 1800s. Nearby Carthage is known for its Victorian homes and artist Sam Butcher's Precious Moments Chapel and Visitors Center. Just south, at Diamond, is the George Washington Carver National Monument, with a museum highlighting the life and career of this renowned African-American agronomist. Farther north is Lamar and a state historic site honoring President Harry S Truman’s birthplace. Nevada's Bushwhacker Museum documents Civil War guerrilla activities in this area, and the Bates County Museum of Pioneer History in Butler’s historic downtown is a popular stop. The Southwest Region offers something special for everyone. Any time of year, you'll find this region is the perfect getaway choice.
